Serena Williams’ coach Patrick Mouratoglou spends his quarantine time at home, taking care of his daughters. The French coach, who recently shut down his tennis academy due to the coronavirus pandemic, understands the importance of isolating ourselves in these challenging times.
“#stayhome is our only mission and it is literally a question of life or death. To be in quarantine can be frustrating, it can be a source of anxiety, but it is nothing when we consider that this can save thousands of lives. Let’s enjoy the time spent with our beloved ones and make the best of it.” wrote Mouratoglou on Instagram.
Besides expressing his opinion, Mouratoglou wanted to point out the awareness message sent by Vogue’s editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.
“Thank you, Anna Wintour and Vogue Magazine, for raising awareness around this pledge. As she says : “All of us must unite as a nation to ensure that we slow the spread of this terrible virus.” we count on each of you #Stayhome🌹” Patrick wrote.
Anna Wintour also sent a message shared on Vogue’s Instagram page along with a picture of her comfortably sitting on a coach.
“There is no more important rule for all of us to follow. We must, right this moment, pledge to stay in our homes as much as we possibly can. There are, of course, health workers, emergency-response personnel, grocery store employees and others whose essential jobs we depend on. And they must go out to perform these life-saving tasks.” Wintour wrote on a post shared on Vogue’s Instagram page. “For the rest of us, there is no debate or discussion. We must stay in our homes. That is the only way to slow the spread of the coronavirus, and to protect those who are most vulnerable to it.” Wintour continued.
