The Wimbledon officials remain hopeful that The Championships could start as initially scheduled on June 29.
On Tuesday, the Tokyo Olympics were postponed for 2021 because of the coronavirus outbreak.
Some suggested Wimbledon should react quickly and take the vacant Olympics date.
Last week, the ATP extended the Tour suspension through to June 07.
On June 08, the grass season is scheduled to officially kick off.
The ATP announced a lengthy suspension but even now it's uncertain whether the season will indeed resume in June.
London -- the home of Queen's and Wimbledon -- is dealing with a bad coronavirus outbreak.
This year's Wimbledon is scheduled to take place from June 29 - July 12.
"Sources at the All England Club suggested on Tuesday that, amid the huge uncertainty, it makes little sense now to postpone The Championships from their current start date of June 29,” the Daily Mail reported, as revealed on Sport360.
“The delayed window is not considered significant enough extra time to warrant the enormous upheaval of rescheduling the big fortnight. For now the official policy is to stick with the current arrangements, even though major sports events are falling like nine pins."
On March 12, the ATP initially suspended the Tour for six weeks.
The French Tennis Federation didn't believe the season would resume at the end of April so they reacted quickly and rescheduled the French Open.
The FFT faced lots of criticism following their announcement as they reportedly didn't consult anyone while making the decision.
The French Open is now scheduled to take place from September 20 - October 04.
