Recently, EDGA (European Disabled Golf Association) released a statistic highlighting that women who possess the WR4GD medical pass, which grants eligibility for the world ranking in golf among individuals with disabilities, make up just over 9% of the total number of golfers with disabilities.

However, there is optimism that this situation is on the verge of transformation.

Edga, results

EDGA has taken a bold step towards promoting women's golf by appointing Aimi Bullock as the Director of Women's Golf. Aimi's primary objective is to further expand the presence of golf among women and girls with disabilities.

Aimi Bullock, who has battled multiple sclerosis since 2013, is one of the most formidable players on the EDGA circuit.

Regarding her new role, Aimi Bullock expressed her enthusiasm by saying:

"Growth is something every women's sport aspires to achieve, and I am thrilled to contribute to the success of women and girls with disabilities in the world of golf. My efforts will be concentrated on raising awareness about this incredible opportunity, collaborating closely with all facets of the golfing community, from clubs to professionals."

"I will particularly focus on engaging with organizations that cater to individuals with disabilities, aiming to introduce them to the world of golf and the multitude of benefits it can offer. This approach will be grassroots-oriented, involving girls and boys to the fullest extent possible."

The rules of golf are relatively complicated compared to other sports because they are applied outdoors, close to nature and animals. Respect for the rules is a basic element in the game of golf, which, almost always based on the self-control and free conscience of the players, often sees distorted results, consciously at times, but often unconsciously or through carelessness, due to non-compliance on the part of many players of the game rules. In addition to rules, golf adheres to a code of conduct, known as etiquette, which generally means playing the round with due respect for the golf course and other players. Etiquette is an essential component of this sport.
