Ons Jabeur called out the Madrid Open organizers as she said it was "sad and unacceptable" that the participants of the women's doubles final weren't given a chance to have a traditional speech afterward.

On Sunday, Victoria Azarenka and Beatriz Haddad Maia defeated Cori Gauff and Jessica Pegula in the Madrid doubles final 6-1 6-4.

After the final was over, the four players were presented with their trophies but not given a chance to address the crowd and their opponents.

"Wasn’t given the chance to speak after the final today:( But thank you to the fans for supporting us and women’s tennis this week! Thanks @JLPegula for always keeping it fun on the court and hitting unreal clutch shots hahahaha Lastly, big congratulations Vika and Bia. Also, thanks to my team and Jess’s team of course! Also for the ball kids, tournament staff, and everyone else who works hard behind the scenes. Twitter format doesn’t allow me to say everything I would’ve said during the speech if we had one. But just wanted to say I‘m thankful," Gauff tweeted.

Jabeur responds to Gauff's tweet: Sad and unacceptable

Responding to Gauff's tweet, Jabeur wrote: "So unfortunate that you were not given a chance to address the crowd and your opponents. This is sad and unacceptable."

Azarenka also sent out a tweet that clearly suggested that she wasn't happy with the Madrid call.

"Hard to explain to Leo that mommy isn’t able to say hello to him at the trophy ceremony," Azarenka tweeted.

Jabeur also responded to the Azarenka tweet, suggesting she was absolutely baffled by the situation.

Meanwhile, Pegula didn't say much but it was pretty clear that she wasn't happy about the situation either.

Pegula first shared this cryptic tweet, before also retweeting Jabeur's tweet.

Meanwhile, now the time has come for the Italian Open in Rome.

Jabeur missed Madrid but she is returning to action in Rome.
