We already knew four of the eight participants in AEW’s upcoming tournament to crown an inaugural TNT champion. This week’s (Apr. 1) episode of Dynamite kicked off by filling in the blanks.

The first round will include the following matches:
- Cody Rhodes vs. Shawn Spears
- Darby Allin vs. Sammy Guevara
- Dustin Rhodes vs. Kip Sabian
- Colt Cabana vs. Lance Archer
This tournament was hyped up as consisting of the top superstars in AEW, but that’s clearly not the case. Yet there are still plenty of good matches waiting for us here. Could we see Cody versus his brother in the finals? What about Lance Archer? Is Darby Allin a dark horse? Will Colt Cabana be pushed to a championship right away in AEW? How quickly will Shawn Spears be eliminated in the first round?
