Croatia's Borna Coric says beating Roger Federer twice was "special" but the best moment of his career has been winning the Davis Cup.
Coric, 23, beat record 20-time Grand Slam champion Federer for the first time in 2018.
The Croatian stunned Federer in the Halle final as he beat the record 10-time Halle champion to lift his maiden grass title.
World No. 33 Coric's second win over Federer came a few months later in October 2018, when he beat the Swiss in the Shanghai Masters semifinal.
A month after beating Federer, Coric helped Croatia beat France in the Davis Cup final.
Coric's came close to winning his first Davis Cup title in 2016 but Croatia lost the final to Argentina.
"The two wins against Federer in Halle and Shanghai were special, but the Davis Cup was the best moment. It was always my dream as a child to win the Davis Cup, but I never expected it to happen," Coric told Tennis MAGAZINE.
There hasn't been a Grand Slam champion outside the Big Three since Stan Wawrinka won the US Open title in 2016.
The younger players have faced criticism for failing to make a breakthrough against the Big Three at the biggest level.
Former world No. 12 Coric says he is giving his best in order to achieve big things.
"It's hard for me to judge whether the other players are doing everything right. I am not their trainer," Coric said.
"I only know that my attitude is extremely good and that I work very professionally. Unfortunately, my tennis is not yet good enough to be a top 5 player. But I will do everything I can to get there."
