Former Chelsea and Juventus boss Antonio Conte says Spanish tennis legend Rafael Nadal is a great role model on and off the court.
According to Yahoo Sports, Conte says, "It’s important to understand what sport can give us. Having a competitive mentality and applying this in all contexts of life can really help. I like playing tennis when I can. For Spaniards, Rafa Nadal is an example to follow, both as a player and as a person. He’s incredible.”
Speaking about the current COVID-19 pandemic, Conte says, "The most important thing at this time is to show strength and courage and, above all, make people understand that staying at home is of the utmost importance. This makes the difference and is the only way we’ll be able to return to our normal lives as soon as possible.”
50 year old Conte is an Italian professional football manager and former player. He is the head coach at Serie A club Inter Milan. Besides a decorated career in club football, he also played for the Italy national team and was a participant at the 1994 FIFA World Cup and UEFA Euro 2000, where, on both occasions, Italy finished runners-up. He became the manager of Chelsea in April 2016 and led them to the Premier League title in his first season in charge, later winning the FA Cup in his second season with the team.
