Their next show, Fyter Fest, is just a couple days away (Sat., June 29). It’s likely All Elite Wrestling had already decided to pivot their promotion to July 13’s Fight for the Fallen. But after WWE revealed they’d be streaming an Evolve event on their Network for the first time ever at the same time as the show in Jacksonville, well, there was no time like the present to drop the first episode of The Road to Fight for the Fallen YouTube series.
After Vice President of Business Affairs Nic Sobic pitches the charity aspect of Fight for the Fallen, saying all the proceeds from ticket sales will go to the City of Jacksonville’s Victim Assistance Advisory Council, we see some footage of Brandi Rhodes training for her match with Allie. Then there’s a quick bit of Hangman Page responding to MJF’s skit on the latest Being The Elite and selling a 4Way coming up this Saturday. That kind of makes me think they were going to release another The Road to Fyter Fest video today, but re-worked their plans to capitalize on today’s headlines, but no matter.
The bulk of the episode is Tony Schiavone and Jake “The Snake” Roberts selling us on the tag team main event of The Young Bucks vs. Cody & Dustin Rhodes.
