Daily Mail’s Martin Samuel on Arsenal’s Shkodran Mustafi
In his weekly column in the Daily Mail, columnist Martin Samuel has focused attention on Arsenal’s German World Cup winner Shkodran Mustafi.
Mustafi, 27, looks set to be in Arsenal’s XI against Chelsea in the Europa League final.
The Gunners defender has played six times in the competition this season, scoring once.
In the Premier League, Mustafi played 31 matches scoring twice.
Arsenal, of course, finished the season in fifth spot in the Premier League.
The Gunners need to beat Chelsea in the final to book a spot in next season’s Champions League.

Mustafi compared to a man who sleeps with sheep
Martin Samuel has compared Arsenal’s Mustafi to a man who had sexual relations with a sheep.
The trigger for this joke were comments made by Mustafi before the Chelsea showpiece.
Mustafi told Football London that he’s unfairly targeted for criticism at Arsenal:
For me personally it’s not getting to me. Our job as defenders is of course, to try not to concede goals. If you make 90 per cent of your job and the 10 per cent your opponent scores a goal, people forget about the 90 per cent.
At the end of the season if you make 70 points it’s for a reason, so I don’t think if the back is not doing its job you don’t make 90 per cent, because if you go into the game without the defence and only with attacking players I’m not sure you make 70 points.
That provoked the following response from Samuel.
