The first TGL season is over, with Atlanta Drive GC winning against New York Golf Club. The finals were very exciting, fulfilling the expectations of the fans. However, the very beginning of this competition has produced positive reactions, but there seems to be a special delight among golfers, who were skeptical about how this story would look like.
Having confirmed that they want to participate in the tech-based league, most golfers did not know what to expect.
Shane Lowry admitted after the final that TGL experience was great, even though he didn't know what to expect at the beginning.
“Six months ago, I didn’t know what to expect,” said Shane Lowry, as quoted by Golf. “But overall, the whole experience, I think, has just been really cool.”

Billy drew a parallel with other sports, admitting that he could not have expected golf to reach the stage where he would play such tournaments.
It seems that this sport is following others, with the intention of innovating and attracting a younger audience.
“I could never imagine what this was going to be,” Horschel said.
“I remember coming into the arena in November and walking out and I was just in awe. I couldn’t imagine what I was seeing. I described it like a football player walking into Mercedes-Benz Stadium right about to play, a basketball player walking out — Steph Curry walking out at Oracle Arena, stuff like that. Never imagined we’d be playing golf in an arena with a big simulator and people and music and chanting. It has been really cool and has sort of exceeded all of our expectations.”
The two are not the only ones who shared positive emotions regarding this project. In addition to them, it seems that all colleagues who participated in this competition are equally delighted with how everything turned out in the end.
This is a project that promises to do incredible things in the long run, with Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy as the main faces of this story.
