Novak Djokovic has been the most consistent player at Majors since 2011. The Serb has earned many notable records at the most notable tennis events, proudly owning 24 Major crowns from 37 finals! Djokovic claimed three Major trophies from four finals in 2023.

Thus, Novak terminated the GOAT race and missed a chance to extend his tally in 2024. Djokovic's only goal in the season behind us was to claim an elusive Olympic Games gold medal. The veteran achieved that in Paris, beating six rivals in straight sets and writing history books.

Novak will chase Major crowns again in 2025, highlighting them as his main focus in the upcoming season. The Serb embraced a 16-3 score at the top-tier level in 2024, which would not be enough for his high standards in any other season.

Djokovic wrapped up a year without a Major crown for the first time since 2017. He will try to change that in 2025, believing in his tennis and warning Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz. Novak faced only two top-10 rivals at Majors in 2024 and lost.

He gave a walkover to Casper Ruud at Rokland Garros and received one from Alex de Minaur at Wimbledon. Like in 2022 when he missed two Major tournaments, Djokovic did not score a top-10 victory on the most notable stage.

This is the list of Novak's top-5 finest triumphs at Majors in 2024.

No. 5 - vs. Francisco Cerundolo at Roland Garros

Novak's fifth most impressive victory of the season came in the fourth round at Roland Garros. The Serb faced Francisco Cerundolo on Court Philippe-Chatrier and defeated world no. 27 6-1, 5-7, 3-6, 7-5, 6-3 in four hours and 39 minutes!

A couple of days earlier, the veteran overcame Lorenzo Musetti clash after two and a half hours. Djokovic struggled with knee pain, and things did not improve against the Argentine. Cerundolo took charge in sets two, three and four, moving closer to a stunner.

However, Novak overcame a 4-2 deficit in the fourth set and recovered following nasty falls. Djokovic stole the set and sealed the deal in the decider, earning another impressive victory while playing miles below his best. The defending champion faced 19 break points.

He did a marvelous job and saved 15. Four breaks were not enough for Francisco to emerge at the top. He wasted that lead in the fourth set and suffered six breaks, two in the decider. Despite Djokovic's struggle, it was a high-quality clash.

They fired 120 winners and 80 unforced errors. World no. 27 embraced 70 winners and 40 unforced mistakes. However, Novak caused over 70 forced errors from his opponent and earned the win in that segment. The Serb forged the advantage in the shortest exchanges.

It was the crucial element of his victory, with nothing separating them in the mid-range and most extended ones. Novak claimed the opener in 39 minutes with a double break. He started feeling pain early in the second set and survived a couple of challenging games.

Cerundolo served well and produced a break in the 12th game to level the overall score. Francisco provided more comfortable holds in the third set and forged an early advantage with a break in game two. The Argentine held in game nine for 6-3, moving closer to the finish line.

Novak stood powerless on the return in the first half of the fourth set. He lost serve in the fifth game to move closer to the finish line. Djokovic recovered his game and movement. He broke back in the eighth game and secured another return game at 6-5 to force a decider.

They traded early breaks in the final set before Novak rattled off the final three games for an impressive victory and a place in the quarter-final. A day later, Djokovic withdrew from Roland Garros and underwent knee surgery.

No. 4 - vs. Lorenzo Musetti at Wimbledon

Novak recovered in the upcoming weeks and reached his 37th Major final at Wimbledon. Djokovic faced world no. 25 Lorenzo Musetti and scored a 6-4, 7-6, 6-4 victory in two hours and 48 minutes. Novak played aggressive tennis and rushed to the net over 50 times.

Both players struggled behind the second serve, and the Serb made the difference behind the first. The veteran played against four break points and dropped serve two times. The Italian could not follow that pace, facing 13 break points and giving serve away four times.

Djokovic built the advantage in the shortest exchanges, keeping the points on his racquet and taking charge in the pivotal moments. Novak secured the first break of the match in the sixth game of the opener. He held with a service winner for 5-2 and served for the opener in game nine.

The legend wasted two set points and got broken after Musetti's forehand down the line winner. Djokovic stayed focused and created three set points on the return in game ten after Musetti's double fault. Novak seized the second for 6-4 in 48 minutes.

Lorenzo broke at the beginning of the second set and led 3-1. The Italian got broken at love in the sixth game after the Serb's return winner, bringing world no. 2 back to 3-3. They served well in the next five games, with Djokovic leading 6-5.

The Serb created a set point in the 12th game, and his rival erased it with a forced error. The set went into a tie break, and Novak brought two mini-breaks for 3-0. The veteran landed a smash winner at 6-2, opening two sets to love advantage after an hour and 57 minutes.

Djokovic broke in the first game of the third set and provided four comfortable holds for 5-3. He generated three match points on the return in the ninth game, and Lorenzo denied them with fine hitting. The Italian took five straight points and extended the battle.

Musetti created a break chance at 4-5 with a return winner. Novak saved it with a forced error and seized the fourth match point to book a place in his tenth Wimbledon final.

Djokovic's third-finest Major win of the season came against world no. 19 Adrian Mannarino in Melbourne. Novak ousted Adrian 6-0, 6-0, 6-3 in the Australian Open fourth round, sailing into the last four. The Serb sealed the deal in an hour and 44 minutes and wrote history books.

Djokovic collected his 58th Major quarter-final, matching Roger Federer's record. Mannarino needed three five-setters to reach the last 16. He lost steam and stood no chance against the ten-time winner. Novak claimed the opening 13 games and moved over the top in style.

The Serb fired 17 aces and defended three break points in the opening two sets en route to a double bagel. World no. 1 stole 57% of the return points and provided seven breaks from 11 opportunities. Novak claimed twice as many points as his rival.

Novak saved them with service winners and took charge, taking all six games and wrapping up the opener in 33 minutes. Nothing changed in the second set, with Djokovic dominating on serve and return. He earned another bagel and moved closer to the finish line after 67 minutes!

Mannarino raised his level on serve in the third set. He suffered a break in the fourth game but clinched three games, avoiding a rare triple bagel! Novak served for the win at 5-3 and held at love, sailing into the quarter-final.
