The Wolverines clinched the double point after an extraordinary comeback. Jaedan Brown and Kari Miller fought hard for Florida and won the match 7-5. When UM tied the doubles matches at 1-1, Reese Miller and Piper Charney were tied. The doubles team took the lead early in the tiebreak set and managed to hold on to beat the Gators to secure the doubles point for UM.
Gala Mesochoritou controlled her singles match, winning both sets by a score of 6-0 to extend UM's lead to 2-0 on the evening. Mesochoritou used her serve to trouble her opponent on match point and after a long chase by Florida, she hit the finisher off the line to make the match 6-0, 6-0. The Gators got their only point of the match after Julia Fliegner fell 6-4, 6-1 at No. 2.
Miller brought the Wolverines within one point of winning the game. She won the first set 6-2 and had a 5-1 lead in the second before Florida took the next game. With a 40-30 lead on match point, Miller's serve started a long rally. On a crosscourt shot from Miller, Briggs tried to go down the line, but hit the ball and Miller won the match 6-2, 6-2.
After a slow first set at no. 3, Brown responded and won the second set 6-3, then used the momentum to win the third set. He led 5-0 in the third, but De Oliveira, ranked No. 23, won the next game before Brown took a 40-15 lead and earned another match point. A Gator return went out of bounds, giving Brown the match 4-6, 6-3, 6-1 - which gave Michigan the team victory, 4-1.
Both Charney and Lily Jones were ahead in their matches just as Brown secured Michigan's win.
