The Japanese tennis player has been off the WTA Tour since she announced her pregnancy. Naomi, together with her partner Cordae, became parents of little Shai. The tennis player and the rapper started dating in 2019 and, in a recent interview with InStyle Magazine, Naomi confided what it was like for her and Cordae to become parents, explaining how they tried to guarantee the best for their daughter, facing disagreements together and problems. "It has been easy, so far, to parent with Cordae. We built a really good foundation. At the end of the day, we both want what's best for Shai. I don't know if it's because he's just an easygoing guy, but I think we just respect each other's opinions. If we disagree on something, we talk it out," she explained.
