Emma Raducanu is reportedly expected to attend a New Year's Eve party in Auckland, via Herald on Sunday. Raducanu, 21, is set to start her season at the ASB Classic in Auckland, which takes place between January 01-07. Before the start of the tournament, there will be a glamorous party held at Maison Mumm at The Serve in Auckland. At the party, Raducanu will be joined by other players competing in Auckland. Also, the party will start at 4 pm and last until 7 pm local time.

Raducanu set to play in Auckland in back-to-back years

At the start of the 2023 season, Raducanu made her Auckland debut. After winning her first-round match, Raducanu badly rolled her ankle during her round-of-16 match and left the court in tears after retiring. Later, Raducanu criticized the Auckland organizers and described the courts as "very slippery." At the time, many thought that Raducanu would not consider playing in Auckland again. But Raducanu has moved past the incident as earlier this month she signed up to start her comeback in Auckland.

“We kept in touch with Emma throughout the year. She decided to go for surgery in April, after Stuttgart and it was going to be a long process for her. When we touched base in early July, we didn’t have much of an update, because it was still in the early stage. But we kept the dialogue going and said we know how it works, players who’ve been away from the Tour get a protected ranking. However, the number of tournaments they can do with their protected ranking is limited, so whenever they can get wildcards on top of their protected ranking it gives them longer to get back on the Tour. That’s something which really helped the discussion. She was obviously in no rush, she wanted to make sure she was fully healthy and ready to come back. She loves this time of year. She had fun in New Zealand and despite the fact she had to retire this year, she was happy to come back," Lamperin said in a statement earlier this month.
