Rory McIlroy is one of the biggest names on the golf scene. From the first day after appearing on the golf scene, the Northern Irishman showed that he is a great talent who will achieve great success. It turned out to be true! Rory is the golfer who, along with Tiger Woods (who is not currently playing), attracts the most attention and expectations. When you are a big star, many people want to face you and win against you. Wyndham Clark is one of those. Speaking on the Golf Channel's "Golf Today" program, Clark talked about a potential duel with the Northern Irishman on Ryder Cup;

"That's exactly who I want. I'd love to play Rory.

I mean, I have the utmost respect for Rory. I mean, he's one of our great ambassadors of our game, he's obviously one of the best of all time and his career is still going."- he said, as quoted by rte.ie!

Wyndham Clark emphasized that he has enormous respect for Rory. He is aware of how tough an opponent McIlroy is. In his career, Clark has faced some of the biggest challenges, but he has all the confidence in the world to handle them. Interestingly enough, Clark believes that he is a better player than McIlroy. We are not able to know if this statement is true or if it is merely an aspiration to demonstrate how much belief he has in himself. Even so, Wyndham is motivated to show his abilities and achieve victory over the great Rory.

"I have tons of respect for Rory. Because of that respect, I also want to beat him. I like to think I am better than him, and I want to prove that.

I think it would be a little bit of David and Goliath, and I'm hoping I get that chance."
