Jessica Pegula got the second victory of her career against the number 1 in the world, bbut she also got the final of the WTA 1000 in Montreal. It was an excellent match for the American tennis player, who beat the Polish Iga Swiatek in three sets, and now she awaits the winner of the match between Elena Rybakina and Liudmila Samsonova.

A little more time to rest for Jessica who, at the press conference, commented on the good victory and her good performance: "I feel really good, it's always nice to beat number one and reach the final of a tournament . It was a very beautiful and tough challenge, I certainly experienced it as a roller coaster, with constant ups and downs but I'm happy I kept my nerve until the end."

Just the end of the match was decisive, with Swiatek ahead 4-2 in the third set and the American protagonist by winning the last four decisive games for the final victory.
