Toni Nadal drops ultimate praise on Roger Federer's greatness, impact

Toni Nadal says no one has ever transcended tennis more than Roger Federer. During a recent interview with CLAY, Juan Monaco said Federer and Rafael Nadal were more important in tennis history than Novak Djokovic. Reflecting on Monaco's comments, Uncle Toni agreed that Federer and Nadal have had a bigger impact on tennis but also highlighted that the Swiss is the one whose impact has been the biggest. Also, Toni Nadal shared his thoughts on the greatest of all-time debate. 

Toni Nadal: Federer transcended tennis more than anyone else

"I think Federer and Nadal have transcended their sport more than Djokovic. And Federer has transcended his sport more than anyone else. When it comes to categorizing who is the best, we would have to establish clear standards that are always a bit open to opinion, because who is the best, the one who holds the world record or the one who wins the Olympics? I don’t know. I think the one who has managed to play at a better level and do more difficult things is Federer, the one who has won more is Djokovic and if we were to count all the things Rafael hasn’t played because of injury, he would probably have won more than the others," Toni Nadal told CLAY.

Federer and Nadal have always enjoyed bigger support than Djokovic. In a recent interview, Djokovic's coach Goran Ivanisevic said that is the case because Federer and Nadal came on the scene before the Serb. Also, Ivanisevic said during the same interview that Djokovic will likely get his respect once he is done with pro tennis and people realize his greatness. When Djokovic won a record 23 Grand Slam title at the French Open, both Nadal and Federer congratulated the Serb. Also, Djokovic was among the players who witnessed Federer's farewell at the 2022 Laver Cup. Although Federer, Nadal, and Djokovic are three big rivals, they also share a great level of respect for each other.
