Raducanu, who is the global ambassador for German luxury carmaker Porsche, recently competed at the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart and also visited the Porsche Motorsport facility - where she got in the Formula E Simulator.
For this year, Porsche decided to reward the winner with a Porsche Taycan Turbo S Sport Turismo.
Before the start of the tournament, Raducanu said that was definitely a car she wanted in her collection.
"A lot! Who wouldn’t want to win that?! I’ve been lucky enough to drive one on a few occasions and it’s a very smooth drive and tremendous acceleration!” Raducanu told Porsche-Tennis before starting her Stuttgart campaign.
Unfortunately for Raducanu, she didn't win the Porsche after losing to Jelena Ostapenko in the Stuttgart first round.
Raducanu acknowledged Porsche's efforts to support her goalsRaducanu has been a fan of motorsports since she was a little girl.
Last year, Porsche recognized Raducanu's passion for cars and made her their global ambassador.
"Porsche have been amazing in supporting my off-court goals. Together we have put together a driving program that includes track lessons with more advanced cars and I’ve had a lot of fun improving my driving skills. The goal is to keep progressing and who knows what opportunities it might lead to. I love testing new cars and learning about the engineering side of the industry as well," Raducanu said.
While in Stuttgart, Raducanu also had a chance to get in the Formula E simulator.
“For me to get in the simulator was such an experience. I honestly couldn’t believe how different it was to being in a regular car on the track. I do have a lot of respect of drivers to get in the simulator and take it naturally and easy. Pascal gave me a great inside on what it’s like being in Formula E. As a race driver, he probably travels the same as we tennis players do. It was just nice speaking to someone who kind of relates to a similar situation as me," Raducanu said.
