French tennis player Baptiste Crepatte has been banned from tennis for three years after being found guilty of fixing three tennis matches, the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) announced.

Crepatte, 28, is an eight-time champion on the ITF level and he has been mostly playing on the ITF and Challenger Tour.

In 2019, Crepatte achieved a career-high ranking of No 276 in the world.

Crepatte took part in a few ITF events last March and he hasn't played since on the ATP or ITF level.

On Friday, the ITIA announced that Crepatte was found guilty of fixing matches.

As a result, Crepatte was handed a three-year ban from tennis and he will also have to pay a $15,000 fine.

ITIA's statement on Crepatte

"The International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) has today confirmed that Baptiste Crepatte, a 28-year-old tennis player from France, has been banned from the sport for three years after multiple breaches of the Tennis Anti-Corruption Program (TACP) rules. The case was ruled on by independent Anti-Corruption Hearing Officer (AHO) Professor Richard McLaren, who upheld charges brought by the ITIA relating to Corruption Offenses under Sections D.1.b., D.1.d. and D.2.a.i. of the 2018 TACP. It was determined by AHO McLaren that Crepatte had been involved in the fixing of three matches, with a total of seven breaches of the TACP – including contriving the outcome or any other aspect of two Events, directly or indirectly facilitating Tennis Betting, and failing to report corrupt approaches to the ITIA. Crepatte, who contested the charges, will be prohibited from playing in, coaching at, or attending any tennis event authorised or sanctioned by the governing bodies of tennis until 19 April 2026. The player, who reached a career-high ATP singles ranking of 276 in August 2019, has also been fined $15,000," the ITIA's statement read.

Crepatte enjoyed his best season in 2018, when he won six titles.
