2014 Wimbledon finalist Eugenie Bouchard has accepted a main draw wildcard into an ITF event in Oeiras.
Bouchard, 29, competed in Oeiras nine years ago, when the city was hosting a WTA tournament.
Back then, Bouchard made the quarterfinal before losing to Svetlana Kuznetsova.
Next week, Bouchard will be competing in Portugal for the first time since 2014.
"Hey everyone. I'm so excited to finally come back to Portugal and play in the Oeiras Ladies Open. It has been so long since I have been back. I can't wait to see you all there," Bouchard said in a statement.

The Oeiras organizers have now landed two big names.
Previously, former world No 3 Svitolina also accepted a wildcard into the tournament.
"Hi, it's Elina here. I'm looking forward to coming back to Portugal. I want to thank the tournament for giving me this opportunity to compete at the Oeiras Ladies Open. I can't wait to see all the Portuguese fans. I'll see you there," Svitolina said in a statement.
After being out for 13 months, Svitolina made her return during last week's WTA event in Charleston.
After Charleston, Svitolina came to play on the ITF level.
On Wednesday, Svitolina clinched her first win since becoming a mom as she defeated Elena-Gabriela Ruse 6-4 6-2 in the ITF Chiasso first round.
After Chiasso, Svitolina is scheduled to play in two more ITF events - Oeiras and Saint-Malo.
Then, Svitolina will return to the main and compete in Rome and Roland Garros.
“I love everything about that tournament (Rome). I will try to do well there and at Roland Garros. [As for ranking goals], my tennis has priority – the ranking will be a [result] of the level I can express," Svitolina said.
It remains to be seen how well can Svitolina and Bouchard do in Oeiras next week.
