Felix Auger-Aliassime said he delivered one of the best performances of his career against Novak Djokovic at the Laver Cup.

On Sunday, Auger-Aliassime stunned Djokovic 6-3 7-6 (3) at the Laver Cup.

Before beating Djokovic, Auger-Aliassime clinched a doubles victory after he and Jack Sock defeated Matteo Berrettini and Andy Murray.

Auger-Aliassime, 22, was thrilled after securing his first victory over 21-time Grand Slam champion Djokovic.

“Today has been fantastic so far,” Auger-Aliassime said, per Eurosport. "It has been one of my best performances of my career so far. I’ve been close a few times in recent times against these great champions, so it feels great to get a win like this, especially in front of you at this arena and for Team World as well.”

“It was a bit weird in the first game, but after I felt very good, very loose. I felt I was getting good rhythm on the serve and returns, and especially getting the win. It was a tight one, a very important one for us. But getting the win [in the doubles] got me really confident going for the singles," Auger-Aliassime explained.

Auger-Aliassime got off to a slow start to the match as Djokovic claimed an early break and a 2-0 lead.

However, Auger-Aliassime quickly recovered from a slow start, breaking back Djokovic in the fourth game.

Then, Auger-Aliassime saved a break point in the seventh game before breaking Djokovic in the eighth game for a 5-3 lead.

In the ninth game, Auger-Aliassime served out for the first set.

After winning the first set, Auger-Aliassime started the second set with an early 2-0 lead.

Down by a set and a break, Djokovic refused to quit and managed to break back Auger-Aliassime in the sixth game.

As no more breaks were seen, the second set had to be resolved in a tie-break.

In the tie-break, Auger-Aliassime won three points in a row to open a 6-2 lead before realizing his second match point to complete a two-set victory.
