As Ilie Nastase, the first ATP number one, reacted to Serena Williams’ decision to retire from tennis, he also commented on when will Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic retire from tennis.

"Everyone retires when they want. It's her decision and it's very nice of her to mark an era. It's probably the age. If she decided that means she was waiting to withdraw. And Federer, Djokovic, Nadal retire when they want! It's normal and it's the same situation for all the big players. How old is she? It's not surprising or extraordinary or sad. It just happens. Why should she be a loss? She did her job in the years she played. She has 23 Grand Slam titles. What more can you say or do?” said Nastase for Fanatik.

Nastase’s opinion on who’s the Greatest of All Time

In a recent interview with MARCA, Ilie Nastase discussed the GOAT, mentioning Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic.

"If the greatest ever is the one who has won the most Grand Slams, the answer is Rafael Nadal right now. From my point of view, there are other factors that should be considered in this speech. Roger Federer has an impressive talent and has helped to increase the popularity of tennis. Novak Djokovic holds several records and was the great ruler of the game last decade. However, Rafa's 21 Majors could earn him the title of GOAT," said Nastase.

Ilie also spoke of Novak Djokovic's situation. "They are practically all vaccinated except him, it is clear that he has a problem. I will not be the one to judge him, because it is a personal choice," said Nastase.
