One of the pictures recently posted by Patrick Mouratoglou from a practice session with Simona Halep showed a butterfly resting on one of the water bottles. This sign is thought to be a positive one, as the 2021 Australian Open champions, Novak Djokovic and Naomi Osaka, both had encounters with butterflies.

A few fans noticed the sign. “That butterfly is a good sign. At the 2021 AO, Naomi and Novak had encounters with some butterflies and they ended up winning,” a fan commented.

“I spotted a butterfly. You know what that means,” said another fan.

Alongside the picture with the butterfly, Patrick Mouratoglou also posted visuals showing Simona Halep getting prepared for the US Open.

“The best way to deal with the pressure of competition lies in the quality of the preparation,” Mouratoglou captioned the pictures.

Regarding her pre-Grand-Slam performance, Simona Halep pulled out of her last match, which was the Cincinnati second round match versus Veronika Kudermetova, due to a right thigh injury. Before that, Simona Halep conquered the title in Toronto, after reaching three semifinals during the past grass season. It was her first title since hiring Mouratoglou in April.

Mouratoglou reacted on Instagram after the title win.

"First, I would like to warmly thank the incredible Romanian crowd in Toronto who have been so important in the support of Simona through this victorious past week," Mouratoglou wrote on Instagram.

"I have never witnessed a nation that stands behind their champion this hard, from all over the world. Second, I want to thank the members of our Team who help Simona everyday perform @arnaudrestifo @candice_go. Third, I want to congratulate Simona.

You have been an incredible competitor all week and shown once again why you have such a relentless career. Once again, it is an honor for me to be by your side. This is our first title together and a big one. With 18 out of the Top 20 in the draw, it means a lot, and makes us hungry for more. Monday you will be back in the Top 10 in the world. A milestone. Cheers @simonahalep,” Mouratoglou wrote on Instagram after Halep triumphed in Toronto.
