Despite having lost several sets along the way, Novak Djokovic reached his eighth final at Wimbledon. The former world number 1 is hunting for his seventh seal on the London meadows, which would allow him to match his idol Pete Sampras, but he will have to pay close attention to the creativity of Nick Kyrgios. The Australian, who won the previous two (both dating back to 2017), played an excellent tournament, also benefiting from a few strokes of luck. The talent of Canberra was in fact in the same segment of the board as Matteo Berrettini, unable to play due to the positivity to COVID-19. As if that weren't enough, Nick took advantage of Rafael Nadal's abdominal injury and didn't have to play in the semi-final. The 'Djoker' wants to reach 21 Slams at all costs, in order to overtake Roger Federer and reduce the gap that separates him from Nadal in the all-time ranking. In a lengthy interview with 'Sport Klub', former world number 1 in doubles Nenad Zimonjic revealed what sets the Big 3 apart from the rest of the players.

Zimonjic on Nole Djokovic

"I had the privilege of training with many great champions like Sampras and Agassi, later Federer, Nadal, Novak Djokovic... The difference is in the approach," said Zimonjic. "They are all different, but it depends on who wants to achieve what in training." He particularly lauded Djokovic and Nadal for their dedication and intensity and for continuing to get better despite already standing out from the rest. "With Novak, it is certainly dedication and intensity, as with Rafa," added the Serb. "They always want to get the most out of themselves, to improve, and this is shown by their results, as well as their constantly growing game. When we all think it can't get any better — they prove the opposite. It's really nice to see all that." In an interview, he was heard saying, “…not being vaccinated today, I, you know, I’m unable to travel to most of the tournaments. That is the price I’m willing to pay because the principles of decision-making on my body are more important than any title.” While Carano has reacted to Novak Djokovic’s reel, there are a few UFC stars who might agree with his stance to a certain extent. As reported by Bloodyelbow in 2021, UFC President Dana White, was not happy with the vaccination mandate idea for his fighters. He felt it was not right to force the athletes to do so.
