World No. 1 Iga Swiatek has been absolutely dominating tennis for the past three and a half months as she has won her last 34 matches.
In the French Open semifinal, Swiatek crushed 20th-seeded Daria Kasatkina 6-2 6-1 to safely progress into the final at Roland Garros.
Swiatek hasn't lost since mid-February and now she is just one win away from winning her sixth consecutive titles.
On Thursday, Swiatek won her 34th consecutive match and tied Serena Williams' winning streak from 2013.
In the 21st century, Venus Williams holds the record for the most consecutive wins as in 2000 she won 35 matches in a row.
Swiatek on the keys to her success"Well, I think I have a game to basically, you know, win tournaments, but it's not only about the game. Like everything has to click, and these tournaments are pretty tough and long. So you can see that Grand Slams have different atmosphere and sometimes the ones that are, you know, the favorites are losing early. So I try to really lower my expectations and just take it step by step," Swiatek explained, per Musab Abid. "But, yeah, I feel like this season everything clicked, the work that I have been doing physically, tennis-wise, and mentally, you know. Last season for sure I was doing a lot, but I was still, you know, getting experience. Right now I'm using the experience to get everything, you know, to work properly."

Swiatek will be facing Cori Gauff in the French Open final.
At the French Open in 2020, Swiatek lifted her maiden Grand Slam.
Now, two years later, Swiatek is just a win away from winning her second Grand Slam title at the same place where she won her maiden Major glory.
Swiatek enters the French Open final as the big favorite and she has a 2-0 head-to-head versus Gauff.
