Coach Patrick Mouratoglou was thrilled to witness Stefanos Tsitsipas' run in Monte Carlo as he says he has been believing in the Greek from Day 1.
On Sunday, third-seeded Tsitsipas saw off Alejandro Davidovich Fokina 6-3 7-6 (3) in the Monte Carlo Masters final.
Tsitsipas, who previously ended runner-up in Rotterdam and reached the semifinals at the Australian Open and Acapulco, lifted his first title of the season in Monte Carlo.
A year ago, Tsitsipas won his maiden Masters title after beating Andrey Rublev in the Monte Carlo final.
Tsitsipas returned to Monte Carlo this year and won back-to-back titles in the Principality.
"I’ve been trusting you blindly since Day 1, @steftsitsipas. And somehow, you keep exceeding my expectations," Mouratoglou tweeted.
"Well done on a much-deserved second straight Monte-Carlo title - an honor to witness it from courtside."

Last year, Mouratoglou was with Tsitsipas during the French Open.
Tsitsipas enjoyed a strong run at Roland Garros last year but fell just short of winning his maiden Grand Slam title.
Tsitsipas reached the French Open final - in which he had a two-set lead versus world No. 1 Novak Djokovic - before losing in five sets.
Mouratoglou followed Tsitsipas throughout the week in Monte Carlo and on Sunday he was in attendance.
After winning back-to-back Monte Carlo titles, Tsitsipas said he was proud of himself.
“I am very proud of myself,” Tsitsipas said in his on-court interview. “Things weren’t going well at one point, but I managed to stay composed to finish the match off. I am really proud with the belief I put in my game. Sometimes you doubt yourself, but it is always important to keep your head high."
Tsitsipas made a strong start to the clay season and his focus is now on the Masters events in Madrid and Rome.
However, Tsitsipas' biggest focus remains the French Open, where he will try to win his maiden Grand Slam.
