Three-time Grand Slam champion Stan Wawrinka has urged people to be responsible and stay at home during the coronavirus pandemic.

"It is important to stay at home! The important thing is health," Wawrinka told RTS 1.

On March 12, the ATP initially suspended the Tour for six weeks due to the coronavirus outbreak.

But some players weren't too optimistic that the Tour would resume at the end of April.

Their doubts became true last week when the ATP extended the Tour suspension through to June 07.

On June 8, the grass season is scheduled to start.

But even now there is a growing doubt that more suspensions could be coming as Great Britain doesn't seem to be near resolving the coronavirus outbreak issue.

"I talk about the situation with some friends from the Tour. We know it will last a long time and the hardest part is not knowing when it’s going to start again. So I’m trying to keep myself in shape," Wawrinka said.

Former world No. 3 Wawrinka will be active a bit more on the social media during this forced break.

This past weekend, Wawrinka posted a picture on Instagram where he and a big teddy bear could be seen sitting across the same table.

The Swiss captioned the photo: "Got my quarantine Saturday night date. What about you?"

"I try to entertain people, to keep smiling.  It's about being creative while staying at home," Wawrinka added.
