AEW really wants you to think that Jake Hager is a big deal

Jake Hager is undefeated in AEW, and he choked out yet another victim in a squash match on tonight’s (Mar. 25) episode of Dynamite.

But after the match was over, AEW world champion Jon Moxley hit the ring and blasted Hager with the Paradigm Shift. Hager recovered quickly by picking Moxley’s ankle, Moxley broke out of it, and then Hager decided to walk away from the fight.

Moxley later made it clear that he is finally medically cleared and is willing to die trying to put Hager out on an ambulance.

So we’re probably going to get that match at some point. Can you erase memories of WWE’s Jack Swagger enough to take Jake Hager seriously as a top contender for the biggest prize in AEW?
