We still don’t know who’s representing NXT in the men’s elimination tag match against Raw and SmackDown at Survivor Series tomorrow night. Triple H announced after TakeOver: WarGames they’ll reveal those names on Sunday’s Kickoff show.
Will the surprise member of Tommaso Ciampa’s WarGames team, Kevin Owens, be one of them? Even The Game said he doesn’t know.
What he did know was who would have Rhea Ripley’s back. Hunter and Ripley, one of biggest stars of Saturday’s show, announced her team for the women’s elimination tag on a social media live stream a short time ago.
The Aussie picked Candice LeRae, who’s had her back at every step of the way during the build to TakeOver and Survivor Series. Io Shirai & Bianca Belair were chosen because while she may not be able to trust them like LeRae, she’s seen what they can do when they go to war. Rhea’s final pick is someone she’s known since she was 16 - her fellow countrywoman and NXT UK rival Toni Storm.
Like almost all traditional Survivor Series teams, there’s some bad blood between the members of Team NXT. But I like their chances against Sasha Banks’ Team SmackDown and Charlotte Flair’s Team Raw.
We’ll see how they do, and what men represent the black-and-gold, tomorrow night.
