Mats Wilander previewed the upcoming match between Novak Djokovic and Alexander Zverev. The Swede said: "I'm looking forward to the match. Djokovic doesn't really play a typical clay court game so for Zverev it's all about ball-striking and, if he serves well, he can play a tough match. Can he mix it up enough to be effective? It's hard to say that he can as I've never seen him do it on a clay court against a top player."
On how playing one day after, due to rain, can affect the match outcome, Wilander added: "It's a completely new match. I do not think Sascha is bothered that he spent on court more hours than Novak did. It's interesting to see how Novak handles this match. Zverev needs a good start because otherwise if he goes a set down it will be almost impossible to beat Novak. But if Zverev gets on a roll, he can take advantage of the less time Novak spent on court in the tournament so far."
What do you do when it rains? "You go outside the bubble you are in. You do not know if it takes one, three or five hours. You have to relax. It's a difficult situation for the men because they know they will probably play two matches over two days but they are used to it, they are in this situation more often and they are the best players in the world. But it's bad not only for the players but for Roland Garros brand. People are ready to watch matches. The roof is necessary."
