WWE’s third trip to Saudi Arabia, Fri., June 7’s Super ShowDown from Jeddah, felt an episode of Raw crossed with a major house show. As such, it’s not terribly surprising the Universal and WWE championship matches were beats in the larger plot instead of resolutions of those stories.
Getting chances he doesn’t deserve is basically Baron Corbin’s gimmick at this point, so it makes sense he’ll get another shot at Seth Rollins after his argument with the referee led to him getting rolled up at King Abdullah International Stadium. And Xavier Woods got an assist on Kofi Kington’s successful defense of his title, so the steel cage match Dolph Ziggler demanded is happening.
