Mysterio officially relinquishes the United States title to Joe

Rey Mysterio’s United States Championship reign is over before it even really began.

In the process of becoming WWE’s 21st Grand Slam Champion, Mysterio was injured moments after defeating Samoa Joe for the United States title. The thing is Joe lost the match, then viciously attacked and injured Mysterio last month at Money in the Bank.

This week on Raw, Mysterio relinquished the United States title to Joe. In the middle of Mysterio’s speech about handing off the title, Joe came down and demanded the lucha legend hurry up a little bit.

Mysterio finished up his promo and still got attacked by Joe for his troubles.
