So the rivalry between The Miz and Shane McMahon isn’t over?
This week on SmackDown, McMahon granted Miz the opportunity to face him one more time. The only hurdle Miz had to clear was beating Elias in a two out of three falls match. One night after The Undertaker injected himself into the McMahon versus Roman Reigns drama, it felt like tonight (Jun. 25) WWE was in a holding pattern.
The match between Miz and Elias wasn’t very good, with The Drifter winning the first fall very quickly.
Just like that, @mikethemiz is one step FURTHER from getting a match with @shanemcmahon, because @IAmEliasWWE is up 1-0 in this #2OutOf3Falls Match! #SDLive pic.twitter.com/UuUFpd91Od

After McMahon saved Elias from getting pinned, but got his friend DQ’d, the match was all even at one a piece. To further slant the odds in his favor, McMahon delayed the start of the third fall while he and Elias laid out Miz.

Elias picked the bones and just like that The Miz once again failed when trying to climb Shane McMahon mountain. Post-match, Shane-O-Mac and Elias beat up Miz some more.
Okay, so maybe this is the end of The Miz chasing McMahon? Could this also be the beginning of the end to Miz’s run as a babyface?
