Tennis - BBC will provide coverage of all Wimbledon matches across the 18 courts at the All England Club in HD live for the first time. The grass-court Grand Slam begins in London on 1st July with the BBC broadcasting the event across its TV, radio and digital platforms.

According to the Broadband TVnews website, "BBC’s ultra-high definition (UHD/4k) trials are being expanded this year so that viewers with compatible TVs will be able to watch every centre court match in UHD and high dynamic range on BBC iPlayer and by pressing the red button."

All matches will also be available live and on-demand on BBC iPlayer, BBC Sport website and the BBC app.

Barbara Slater, Director of BBC Sport, commented on the same, “Wimbledon is the centrepiece event of the sporting calendar and it will be brilliant to welcome back our unrivalled team of experts this year alongside some new faces. The BBC’s offering this year will bring our audiences exceptional coverage and bring them closer to the court action than ever before.”

The BBC team will include Sue Barker, John McEnroe, Martina Navratilova, Boris Becker, Billie Jean King, Tracy Austin, Pat Cash, Tim Henman and Kim Clijsters. Barker will lead the coverage across BBC One and BBC Two.

Germany's Angelique Kerber won the women's singles event last year while Serbia's Novak Djokovic won the men's singles event last year.
