With all the news about people who want to leave WWE these days, it’s nice to hear about someone who wants to stay. Especially someone like Mauro Ranallo, who went through some rough times in his dream job, before he and the company were able to find a solution which worked for all involved.
PWInsider reports that Ranallo has agreed to a new deal which will see him stick around as NXT’s lead announcer for the foreseeable future. The site confirmed the story this week, but says it was actually done “a month or so back”.
The veteran combat sports announcer joined WWE to call SmackDown back in 2015, and took a hiatus from the company in 2017 amidst reports (which Mauro and WWE denied) that bullying by JBL and others aggravated the bipolar depression he lives with. He returned as the voice of NXT, where he’s remained ever since.
This deal will keep it that way, as well as allow The Bipolar Rock ‘N’ Roller to continue to take outside gigs calling MMA and boxing.
Give me a Hell Ye... er, I mean, a MAMMA MIA!
