Tottenham’s epic comeback

Tottenham faced Ajax on Wednesday in yet another Champions League semi-final classic.

The day before Liverpool had come from 3-0 behind to beat FC Barcelona 4-3 on aggregate.

Heading into their clash, Spurs did not have such a huge deficit to overcome but after 35 minutes of the second leg, Tottenham also found themselves 3-0 down.

However, an inspired second-half display from Lucas Moura saw Tottenham pull it back to 3-3 and go through on away goals.

“Hopefully. Rehab is going well. I start straight-line running this week, that explains that run.

“We will see. So far so good. If it carries on as it is, hopefully.”
