An 18-year-old Canadian sensation Bianca Andreescu needed only three months to show her enormous talent and abilities in 2019, entering Auckland from outside the top-150 and cracking the top-25 after Miami! Bianca has won 20 out of 24 WTA main draw matches this year (more than 30 overall including qualifying rounds), capturing the attention of the entire tennis world at Indian Wells where she won the title following back-to-back top-10 wins over Elina Svitolina and Angelique Kerber that made her the youngster winner in the desert since Serena Williams.

Unable to hit the ball for a few weeks, Bianca also had to withdraw from Madrid, keeping slim chances of Rome return that will not happen either, setting to miss another big preparation event ahead of Roland Garros and probably heading to Rafa Nadal Academy where she should train before Paris. Andreescu could enter some of the smaller events in the week before Roland Garros but her main goal at the moment is to get ready for the second Grand Slam of the season where she failed to qualify in the last couple of years.
