Jordan Spieth, despite forecasts that he will not perform at the Congizant Classic, decided to be a part of this tournament. The experienced golfer has many problems after wrist surgery last summer, feeling pain every day. However, the experienced golfer is so hungry for success, especially after a great start to the new season.

Spieth admitted that he set himself great goals before the start of this season.

His good friend Rickie Fowler commented on Spieth's decision at the press conference before the start of the new tournament. Although he invited him home, Joran refused the invitation, and Fowler decided to make a joke about it.

“Yeah, we had a nice tent ready for him. (Laughter.) He would have been all right out back,” Fowler said, as quoted by The Golfing Gazette.

“Yeah, between myself and JT, who I know offered up, I think he decided to stay a bit closer. He was here on his own and obviously wasn’t necessarily planning to play this week, so I know they had plans at home, so the kids and wife are back there."

Rickie Fowler: Hopefully, we’ll be able to get him over to the house a few times

Fowler admitted that it is great that Spieth will play in this tournament, considering that this tournament is a special experience for everyone. The 36-year-old couldn't help but mention home again, stressing that he hopes to be able to convince Spieth to come to his home, especially because of his son.

“But no, it’s great to have him here. I feel like with how he plays and stuff, I feel like this golf course—obviously, he’s a great player. He can play well anywhere. But I think he’ll find it a fun challenge. I know he’s been here a while back, but it’s definitely good to have him here. Hopefully, we’ll be able to get him over to the house a few times. Our oldest is three days younger than his oldest, Sammy, and they’re very close, so she’d be excited to see Jordan.”
