Jannik Sinner demonstrated in New York why he deserves to be the number 1 in the ATP world ranking. He was able to isolate himself from everything, focus exclusively on himself and on the work to be done at that moment and was rewarded with an ATP Master 1000 in less than excellent physical conditions and a splendid second Slam in New York.

Winning the Cincinnati Open and the US Open is not a feat achieved by many players in history. Only 7, before the 23-year-old, have achieved these two consecutive successes on American hard courts.
