NC State University gets the pass for the ITA Indoor Championships

The NC State University women's tennis team qualified for the ITA Indoor Championships with a 4-0 victory over Clemson, thus winning the ITA Kickoff Weekend, in Raleigh.

The Wolfpack got the ITA Championships for the fifth time in the last six years. NC State has won five straight games since the start of the season and has yet to drop a point.

Before the team travels to Seattle, the Wolfpack will go in Knoxville to face No. 1 Tennessee. 

Anna Zyryanova, who has lost only two matches, wins her match 6-1, 6-1. Following Zyranova was Amelia Rajecki, who was in control from start to finish, winning 6-0, 6-1. With her win, Rajecki now has 87 career singles wins with the Wolfpack, putting her in a tie for fifth on the all-time career wins list.

On court four, Sophie Abrams found herself down after the first set, but fought back to win the second set 7-6 (7-3) after being down 4-5 and reached the third and final set. In the third set Abrams didn't give up an inch, winning 6-3 and awarding the match to the Wolfpack.
