Serena Williams' ex-coach Rick Macci says "a locked and loaded Emma Raducanu" can absolutely return to the top-10 by the end of the 2025 season. Raducanu, who turned 21 this month, achieved a career-high ranking of No 10 in 2022 July. Now, Raducanu is ranked at No 289 in the world but she hasn't played since May due to having multiple surgeries. "Was asked about Emma Raducanu during an interview. If she is locked-loaded and ready to launch mentally then she 100% can be in the top ten again by the end of 2025. You do not lose the skill but you 100% need the will," Macci wrote on X.

Macci, who coached Serena and Venus Williams in their childhood, believes he is the one who could make Raducanu a mental giant. "During a podcast was discussing Emma Raducanu and helping her. I talked to her agent and told him I can help her team but I am not a travel coach. I assist many players and coaches on both tours and if this young lady is mentally all In I can help her win again and again," Macci wrote in another X post.

If Raducanu accepted Macci's offer, he wouldn't travel with her. However, he coach Macci is confident he could still make it a very successful partnership. "I can help her mentally and strategically like no other. I don’t know where her head is at, whether there is the hunger and belief there to be the best. If you look at Carlos Alcaraz, everything changed for him with success at an early age, but he was ready and loaded. I don’t know Emma or what’s in her head, but you don’t lose talent and ability. Yes, you might lose a little confidence and fitness, but technically she’s very good – you don’t win a Grand Slam otherwise. If she really wants to be one of the best in the world – and she has the ability – then you need to cope with the pressure that comes with that. She should want pressure," Macci told The Telegraph.
