Carlos Alcaraz mocks Jannik Sinner: "Teach me!"

Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner could meet in the semi-finals of the 2023 ATP Finals, which will start tomorrow in Turin. Among the most anticipated players at the upcoming ATP Nitto Finals in Turin there could not fail to be the Italian home idol and the young Spanish champion Carlos Alcaraz, young stars whose challenges will become a constant in this sport. The two tennis players in Turin will not compete before a possible semi-final, one having been drawn in the green group and the other in the red group. However, Sinner and Alcaraz had the opportunity to meet off the court, on the occasion of an event organized at the Nike store in the Piedmontese capital, where the two met their fans, with whom they exchanged a few shots on a pitch set up outside exterior of the store.

During a talk moderated by Italian Federico Russo and Matilde Gioli, the young champions entertained those present with stories, anecdotes and curiosities about their careers. The tennis players then staged a funny moment, during which Sinner asked Alcaraz: "You have to teach me how to play golf!" The Spaniard responded promptly: "It would be more difficult for me to learn skiing, but you would be a great teacher!" The Italian then revealed that his favorite food is pizza and his shoes are Nike, joking: "I take all the shoes Nike gives me." Alcaraz, in turn, said he preferred paella and Jordans. The two then concluded by declaring what they have learned from this sport. "From tennis I learned that when you lose you have to remain with a strong mentality and I am motivated to train even more," said the 2-time Slam champion, to which the Italian number one added: "Defeating is the most ugly and difficult to accept, but precisely with these bad days you understand where you have to work, especially when you play against the best in the world. It's all part of growing up. I have always looked at Federer, Nadal and Djokovic, who have made and are making history. It's incredible to be a part of it."
