Carlos Alcaraz is one of the great protagonists of the 2023 season in the ATP Tour. Thanks to his many triumphs, despite a few small slips mainly due to some physical problems, the Spaniard is in a continuous struggle to keep the number one in the world to the detriment of Novak Djokovic, and he put other important titles on his collection.

On Sunday 25 June, the Spaniard did not miss the opportunity to add the Queen's ATP 500, a very prestigious tournament on grass after Wimbledon, his next goal, of course.

This year, thanks to the many victories, Carlos Alcaraz has already earned an absurd prize money for this season: in fact, the 20-year-old star has secured a good $4,8 million in the first six months.

A stellar and incredible figure, considering that the athlete trained by coach Juan Carlos Ferrero missed the January appointment of the Australian Open. For the Cinch Championships Alcaraz won $516k, which brought the sum obtained in his entire young sports career to almost $17 million.

Alcaraz will play only one exhibition match

Carlos Alcaraz and his team took the decision, immediately after his UK triumph, to cut back on the games he was due to play at the Hurlingham exhibition, this week.

The groin discomfort forced the Spaniard's team to take any kind of precaution to get the player to Wimbledon in the best possible physical condition. As reported by Marca, the Iberian will not play the match against Holger Rune on Wednesday, while he confirmed his engagement with the Austrian Dominic Thiem on Friday.

Afterwards, the Murcian will land in London to await his debut in the competition. Alcaraz will be seeded number 1 in the main draw, as already happened at Roland Garros: while in Melbourne he had to forfeit, in France he stopped in the semifinals due to Djokovic and the courts that he began to accuse in the third set.

We recall Carlos will be one of the most awaited stars at Wimbledon, along Novak Djokovic, Jannik Sinner, Nick Kyrgios, Stefanos Tsitsipas and Daniil Medvedev.
