Holger Rune told the Rome crowd their attempts to disrupt him during a match against Fabio Fognini didn't really work.
On Sunday, Denmark's Rune took on home favorite Fognini in the Rome Masters third round.
As Rune was making his way onto the court, he was greeted by loud boos from the Rome crowd.

The boos continued throughout the match but it didn't impact Rune, who ousted Fognini 6-4 6-2.
"You know actually, it was a couple of guys who tried to make me lose focus behind the court. But yeah guys, it didn’t work. I stayed in the zone. It was just you know support for him during the match, of course it got closer in the first set and they were [starting] to get wild, as I said before in the match. But again, I played good. You know, I was staying focused and that's all matters." Rune said after the match.

After setting up a Rome third-round meeting against Fognini, Rune said he was preparing for "a wild atmosphere" against the home favorite.
"It's going to be wild, for sure. But this is great because this is what tennis is about. You already hear the football match [atmosphere] now and this is great, it's fun. It brings tennis to another level and I'm super excited for it," Rune said before facing Fognini.
Rune made a fast start to the match, breaking Fognini twice for a 5-1 lead.
Down by two breaks, Fognini didn't quit as he got one break back and cut the deficit to 5-4.
In the 10th game - in his second attempt to serve out for the first set - Rune managed to close out the opener.
After winning the first set, Rune started the second set with back-to-back breaks and a 4-0 lead.
Up by a set and two breaks, Rune held on to his service for the remainder of the match to complete a two-set win.
