World No 35 Tallon Griekspoor identified the powerful forehand shot as Carlos Alcaraz's biggest weapon and added the 19-year-old Spaniard could end up winning "an unlimited number of Grand Slams."

Griekspoor, 26, met Alcaraz at this past Indian Wells Masters.

Alcaraz, who won this year's Indian Wells title, defeated Griekspoor 7-6 (4) 6-3 in the third round in the desert.

"He's one of the best players in the world. He has everything it takes to win unlimited tournaments, unlimited Slams. In the Indian Wells first set, I felt like I was on top of him. I was disappointed because I felt like I could have won the first set. And whenever you lose that first set and you drop like 1-2%, he's all over you," Griekspoor said on The Functional Tennis Podcast, per Sportskeeda

Griekspoor on Alcaraz's biggest weapon

"I think the biggest weapon for him is still the forehand, which he has so much power in and then he has the drop shot, you don't see it coming. That's what he did against Medvedev so well, especially since [Daniil] Medvedev was returning from so far. To do these kinds of things at the age of 19, he's impressive and he's still young. He's still going to give you some points where I feel like Novak or Rafa don't give you any points. But he's so good in everything he does," Griekspoor added.

Griekspoor has played Alcaraz four times but just two of those four meetings came on the main level.

In 2021 February, Griekspoor defeated Alcaraz in the Montpellier qualifying event.

A few months later, Alcaraz defeated Griekspoor in the Estoril qualifying event.

Last year, Alcaraz and Griekspoor met for the first time in a main draw match as the Spaniard defeated the Dutch in straight sets at Wimbledon.

This past March, Alcaraz claimed another straight-set win over Griekspoor.

In the official statistics, Alcaraz owns a 2-0 head-to-head against Griekspoor.
