Ons Jabeur, 28, says she is "manifesting" winning the 2023 Wimbledon title.
Jabeur, ranked at No 4 in the world, made her first two Grand Slam finals last year.
After finishing as runner-up at Wimbledon, Jabeur was also beaten in the US Open final.
“I’ll manifest the big trophy sets, the Wimbledon one, and other grand slams that I want to win. If you want to do something, Believe in it and only you can really manifest it. Today I was kind of doing that. I was imagining myself holding the trophy. I was imagining myself in the photoshoot after, I was kind of putting the image [in my mind] that I won that title already, and it happened," Jabeur said on Tennis Channel, via Tennis Majors.
Jabeur off to a positive start to her clay seasonAfter struggling with a knee injury and having a minor knee procedure, Jabeur finally found some game and rhythm this past week in Charleston.
On Sunday, Jabeur defeated Belinda Bencic 7-6 (6) 6-4 to win her first title of the year on the clay courts of Charleston.
Jabeur is now hoping to continue her fine form and put herself in a strong position to be a contender at the French Open.
“Honestly continue with this attitude and with this game. I’m glad that I’m finding my rhythm and I hope my body will allow me to play. I’m excited to go to Stuttgart, Madrid, Rome. Clay is really amazing and I love it. I am working on a lot of things. And it’s going my way, so for me: step by step, and I’m going for the Grand Slam this year," Jabeur explained.
At the start of the 2023 season, Jabeur suffered an Australian Open second-round defeat to Marketa Vondrousova.
But Jabeur was dealing with a knee issue in Australia and that impacted her performance.
