Basque golfer Javier Sainz has taken victory in the 2nd edition of the Barcelona Open By Pablo Larrazábal. He has done it with a total of 213 shots throughout the three days of competition on the Pink Course of the Real Club de Golf El Prat.

Eduardo de la Riva, who finished second after losing in the playoffs, evened on the last hole thanks to a fantastic birdie. However, in the tiebreaker, Sainz beat the Catalan with another birdie to win the trophy.

The champion expressed his joy at the victory, although he recognized the difficulty of the field. “I think I played the first nine holes very well, but I haven't finished reading the falls very well.
