Aryna Sabalenka and Paula Badosa are both busy these days at the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix 2023, the women's tennis tournament played on indoor red clay in Stuttgart, Germany.
The two tennis stars, who are best friends, have sent fans and their social media into a tailspin, jokingly embracing on the court.
A hug that underlines once again the great friendship that the two WTA players share.
Below the pic shared by the two tennis players:
Sabalenka said: I'm hated for nothing"The war in Ukraine is an affair that has extended the boundaries of geopolitics alone and also hampered the world of sport, especially the women's circuit.
In the WTA, there were many gestures that were the subject of discussion, just as there were many statements that caused discussion. Several Ukrainian tennis players, several Russian tennis players and a Belarusian: Aryna Sabalenka. The Australian Open winner talked again about how the conflict was reflected in the locker room, especially towards her.
She said: "Yes, I see strange looks and hatred towards me from some people. I know that I have done nothing wrong to Ukraine, that I have done nothing. There are people who don't like me just because I was born in Belarus. It's their decision, I can't control it. Being hated for nothing isn't the best feeling in the world, but it is what it is."
Before she said in a previous interview: "I've often experienced haters on social media after a loss, but I've never faced so much hate in the tennis locker room. Yet, I did nothing. I happened to have strange conversations. It was really hard to understand that there are so many people who hate me for no reason. I've had talks that I wouldn't call real quarrels, but really tough: I'm not saying with the other players, but with their staff, yes... It was tough."
