Alexander Zverev says "the justice has prevailed" after the ATP's investigation concluded that there is "insufficient evidence" to substantiate the domestic abuse allegations made by the German's ex-girlfriend Olya Sharypova.

In late 2021, the ATP announced they were launching an investigation into the domestic abuse allegations Sharypova made against Zverev.

15 months later, the investigation has come to an end and Zverev won't face any sanctions by the ATP.

"From the beginning, I have maintained my innocence and denied the baseless allegations made against me. I welcomed and fully cooperated with the ATP's investigation and am grateful for the organization's time and attention in this matter. This decision marks a third neutral, third-party arbiter who has reviewed all relevant information and made a clear and informed decision on this matter in my favor. In addition to the ATP's independent investigation, have also initiated court proceedings in Germany and Russia, both of which I have won. l am grateful that this is finally resolved and my priority now is recovering from injury and concentrating on what I love most in this world - tennis. I want to thank my friends, family and fans for their ongoing support. We followed the long and difficult process and justice has prevailed," Zverev said in a statement.

Zverev won't face any sanctions by the ATP

"A major independent investigation into Alexander Zverev has found insufficient evidence to substantiate published allegations of abuse. As a result, no disciplinary action will be taken by ATP," the ATP's statement read.

Ever since Sharypova accused Zverev of domestic abuse, the German tennis star has been maintaining his innonence.

The ATP was pressured heavily to launch an investigation and they eventually did launch an investigation.

Now, this is a win for Zverev as he can use this when claiming that there weren't acts of domestic abuse from his side.

Also, Zverev now can focus on tennis.
