Raphaël Jacquelin announces on the official website of the French Golf Federation (FFG) that he intends to present himself in one year for the accession cards of the PGA Tour Champions, the US circuit for the over 50s. In the meantime, and despite having abandoned his membership on the DP World Tour, the Lyonnais will make appearances in a few European Tour tournaments and on the French dates of the Challenge Tour in 2023.

He could have participated between November 11 and 16 in the final of the European Cards (PQ3) on the side of Tarragona (Spain). But Raphaël Jacquelin preferred to give it up, not feeling like "doing another year on the Tour" if he had "qualified by the cards". Winner four times between 2005 and 2013 on the European Tour, the Lyonnais indeed has other goals.

The man with 680 tournaments played on the DP World Tour will be 50 on May 8, 2024. In just over a year and a half.
